We all want our hand planes to work well, look good, and last for a long time. No one wants to walk out to their shop to find a hand tool with rust on it, or go to use a tool and find that it isn't quite working as well as it once did.
In the video below, I show you what I do to maintain my hand planes, and for that matter all of my hand tools. It is nothing expensive, nothing that takes gobs of time, and it very simple to do. But, you have to actually take the time to do it. So, if you have five minutes of time, sit back and watch this little video. It will show you how I prevent rust, keep my tool operating their best, and make them really shiny.
And remember, if you haven't subscribed to my YouTube channel please do.
Up coming projects include: finishing the current Shaker Clock build, a new Split-Top Roubo workbench, and a two piece bookcase.
